I have a few rosettes at the bottom hem.

Well, the close up!

The same dress, with added organza rosettes and ruffle at the hem, which is attached to the lining

This is a lined wool/poly dress that was a couple of sizes too big. I removed about 4" in circumference from the side seams. (The zipper is at the center back, so i didn't want to touch that area) I also had to cut the shoulder straps and raise the dress up about 1 1/2" because the empire seam was too low. That caused a small problem. It was too short to wear to work.

I should also mention that the armholes are finished with the stretch cord.

You can see the overlap down the side seam. The corduroy is really cool. It has a sort of grey burn-out graffiti print on it.

So i made this whole mini jumper in order to wear the belt.

I know it's alot of work, but i really liked the belt!!

The sides, below the dropped waist seam do not close.

This is the finished jumper dress. The side openings are finished with black stretch corduroy. I found that stretch cord sews nicely with knits. I have also made a hem facing about 2" wide with the corduroy. The ugly buttons have been replaced with chunky black overcoat buttons.

This is a wool dress that i have in progress. It will become an a-line sleeveless mini soon.

Top side. The patches are closed with the side seams.

Underside of leaf.

This is the sweater in progress. The leaves, are made to look like embroidery. I used a thick pink yarn and zig-zag stitched over it.

And finally the finished side view.

The back, of course. The elbows are patched to cover those woren areas that the original owner made.

This was once a very big men's sweater, Pure Lamb's wool and made in Italy. This has been sized down and any holes have been covered with patches, made from the excess fabric that i cut away. The center stem of the leaf shape is actually the original side seam/inseam of the body and sleeves.
