This is a short pencil tie skirt. Front, back and side views. The hem incorporates the natural points of the ties as well as a few more angles that i added for interest.

Leopard Dress

This dress was originally a fun fur coat that i bought at the Salvation Army. It's washed, deconstructed and then re-made into a dress. I wanted the A line shape "mod" shape. I did, however, take in the back with darting as there was just too much fabric. This stuff is thick. The original collar, is now at the hem and the cuffs from the long sleeves are still cuffs, but on short sleeves now! Invisible zipper at center back. Stay away from open flame!

plaid dress

This wool blend dress is made from scrap plaid fabric (the grey)bodice is cut on the bias.

The two bottom pleated layers are the remains of two skirts that were shortened.

The drop waistband is made from two men's neckties. (bias)

Dress is lined with a grey cotton blend fabric also recycled from who knows where!

There is no zipper opening as the neckline is deep enough to pass over the head. The bias bodice

is big enough to pass over the shoulders.
