I created the dart at the center back to shape the skirt over my hips. This long dart ends just before the hem. The hem just curls under and is the actual hem of the sweater.

This blog is a record of all the recycled clothing that i am making for my own wardrobe. I either buy an article used and restyle it or combine different pieces. So far i've been doing tops, dresses and skirts. Most finished pieces cost around $10 or $12 in materials. I've always sewn clothes, but now i'm more into the deconstruction/reconstruction method. There's just so much good old clothing out there that needs new life!
